◯ I enjoyed a relaxing early summer holiday. Delicious food, the sound of singing frogs and the river… It was like an overdue return to childhood. Nandabe-Mura—thank you! (June 2010)
◯ I had the chance to try many new things. It must also be hard work for the farmer’s wife, though! Hang in there! (July 2010)
◯ When I think of Nandabe-Mura, my heart fills with nostalgia. Next time, I want to stay at Hotaru-so (“firefly cottage”). I am so grateful for the incredible care shown to visitors by the entire family: the wife who said she enjoys talking with everyone, the grandmother who works harder than everyone else, and of course the husband who takes care of everything. Thank you so much! I definitely want to see you all again. (June 2011)
◯ Oh, Ouse! Not just people but the serow, wild boars, tagame giant water bugs, grass, trees, charcoal, and blazing bonfire! Spring is koshiabura flowering trees and Japanese angelica trees; summer is tomatoes with jute mallow. What can I say? I like being on the—meadow was it? —best. And the fireflies and shooting stars I saw that night—I’ll never forget. Did we climb up on the roof as well? Anyway… nandabe! (August 2011)
◯ We came to see fireflies! I hope we can visit together again! (July 2010)
◯ I’m so glad I went! I was a little worried because of the issues with the nuclear power plant, but I’m so happy I went, and will definitely visit again. Thank you so much for the wonderful time! (July 2011)
◯ The people—you can’t meet them anywhere else but in Ouse! I am so grateful. Thank you very much. (January 2012)
