Looking to improve your company’s work environment? While corporate training and company retreats held in nature-rich areas such as Ouse improve employee motivation and camaraderie in the short-term, because training and retreats are often a one-time event, significant long-term change is generally not possible. We believe that on-going programs, however, will lead to major improvements in communication between employees, as well as enhanced interpersonal relationships.
To that end, the Ouse Rural Tourism Association is offering companies the chance to take part in its long-term corporate training program, “From Abandoned Farmland to Company Farms.” As part of the program, the association supports companies as they cultivate and harvest crops on their own farmland. The hands-on work and mutual dedication to crops encourage long-lasting solidarity among employees.
In addition to sowing fields, tending crops and harvesting, our association also provides cooking workshops, seasonal events and various other activities.
・Corporations and organizations that wish to improve employees’ interpersonal relationships
・Corporations and organizations in which generational, occupational, employment pattern or official position gaps exist between employees
・Corporations and organizations struggling with communication issues between employees or inefficient business operations
The Ouse Rural Tourism Association provides the following support to company farms:
Abandoned farmland in the Ouse area will be made available to companies at no cost.
Efforts will be made to accommodate company wishes concerning type of crop to be cultivated and so on. Our association will also proactively advise companies on use of farmland in order to maximize each company’s efforts.
Local Ouse farmers will provide support and crop maintenance when distance is such that companies are unable to regularly care for their fields.Companies only able to work their fields during annual company retreats and new-employee training programs are welcome to participate. Our hope is that farmland will remain with a company for many decades, passed down through generations of employees. Through participation in this program, we hope that intergenerational problems will be resolved.
